I completed a bachelor of Journalism degree in 2004 and began my career as an intern at Rapid Blue Studios in Johannesburg. Here I gained valuable experience online editing on Avid DS and moved to Studio Zoo as a junior online editor working on Quantel's Editbox. I worked here for a year onlining shorform branding promos for Multichoice/DSTV and occasionally getting onto Avid Media composer as a fill-in offline editor.
By 2006 I knew I wanted to work in offline and I made the jump to freelance, getting a few small corporate jobs and commercials before getting into longer broadcast shows. In 2007 I was employed by Urban Brew Studios and started work on a reality series: "It's for Life" for SABC Education. I went on to cut various other broadcast programming for Urban Brew before moving to the UK in 2008.
From 2008 - 2011 I freelanced in the UK, but spent most of my time working for Back2back.tv in Brighton, working on various broadcast series and doing some work for Aljazeera and the U.N.
In July 2011 I moved to Cape Town and since then have been freelancing, working predominantly at Fixer Film, and also at Tsewelopele Productions.
